As Jak searches for the cure for Daxter (an ottsel turned human), they find themselves in a tragic turn of events that results with their next adventure (Jak 3) taking place in a wasteland. Gameplayįollowing the same path of play as the previous Jak installments, Jak 3 has the same storyline. One extreme bonus of low graphics in a game and the cartoon feel, is that there are hardly ever any complaints of the game not running smooth, allowing for a non-frustrating and uninterrupted gameplay (judging that your device handles it). Naughty Dog would go on to create the Uncharted and The Last of Us franchises.To be so cartoonish and “rough” however, Jak 3 makes some things very well-known through this method, having important things stick out from the rest of the world, making easy visual clues for the player to know what they are supposed to do.
The series’ emphasis on narrative and developing it’s characters would serve as a foundation for the studio’s award-winning work on PS3 and PS4. The Jak and Daxter series was originally developed by Naughty Dog for PS2. While they do sport some visual and performance enhancements, the games haven’t been remastered to take advantage of PS4’s hardware. It is important to note that these are not remasters. All the games can be purchased individually or as part of a bundle. Jak II, Jak 3, and Jak X: Combat Racing will be available on the PlayStation Store for PS4 on December 6. Well, Sony has finally responded, and we won’t have to wait much longer. We eventually got Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, but the remaining three titles have yet to surface on the PlayStation Store. Sony has revealed when the rest of the Jak and Daxter saga will be available on PS4.īack in April, Sony confirmed that they were bringing all four PS2 Jak and Daxter games to PS4.
